Balloon Ankle Kick
Tie a balloon on a string to baby's ankle so their kicks make it bounce and dance.
In the Little Play app, this activity appears in week 9 of your baby's personalized plan.
How to play
1
Inflate a balloon and tie it to a length of ribbon or soft yarn (about 30 cm long).
2
Loosely tie the other end to baby's ankle while they lie on their back.
3
Watch as baby discovers that their kicks make the balloon move!
4
Cheer them on: "You're making it bounce! Kick, kick, kick!"
What you need
• A balloon
• Soft ribbon or yarn (about 30 cm)
Simple household items. No plastic toys needed.
Why it works
This classic activity teaches cause and effect while encouraging purposeful leg movements. It builds core strength and the joy of discovering their own power.
Good to know
Never leave baby alone with the balloon or string. If the balloon pops, remove all pieces immediately, balloon fragments are a serious choking hazard.
