Whisk and Pompom Rescue
Stuff pompoms into a whisk and let baby figure out how to pull them free, a brilliant baby puzzle!
In the Little Play app, this activity appears in week 17 of your baby's personalized plan.
How to play
1
Push several large, colorful pompoms into the gaps of a kitchen whisk.
2
Show the stuffed whisk to baby and wiggle it so they can see the pompoms peeking out.
3
Encourage baby to pull the pompoms out with their fingers.
4
Celebrate each pompom they rescue: "You got the red one! Can you get the blue?"
What you need
• A kitchen whisk
• Large pompoms (too big to be a choking hazard)
Simple household items. No plastic toys needed.
Why it works
Pulling pompoms from the whisk builds fine motor skills, pincer grasp, and problem-solving. Color naming during play supports early language development.
Good to know
Use only large pompoms that cannot fit through a toilet paper tube (the standard choking hazard test). Always supervise closely.
